One of nice topic , I read  about M-learning .As a student using these technology , I was waiting to hear about  learning can be happen with those smart devices .After taking Tech classes , I learned what are principles that danger of contenting M-learning should do. Also, M-learning include Tablets (I pad, IPod, windows RT,…etc.).Whats App  is a good example to apply  M-learning. But we have to be avoided with some condition .and here below some information that may give extra information :I answered all the Action Modal ,and then I write as a points.

Access

1. Mobile learning is very easy to access anywhere, anytime and any pace because everyone has mobile device. Also, mobile connect to wireless internet networks.

2. It is flexible for everyone in this world to access by using their mobile phone.

 

Costs

1. It is expensive for each learner because they need to pay for wireless service, budget for maintenance repair and upgrades and resolve technical problems.
 

2. It is depend on cost of programs and internet

3. Mobile learning not very expensive comparing to video conferencing

 

Teaching and Learning

1. It supports both self-based learning and group-based. It supports two types of interaction (asynchronous/synchronous).Any type of learning can be used with this technology.

 

2. Students use e-mail, Web sites, online discussion groups and other chat forums to collaborate with peers, faculty and experts in their area of study.

 

3. Mobile phones or PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants) or Smart phones or Games consoles.

4. Yes, M-learning allows users to have access to the resources in different formats (voice, text, picture and video)

5. Mobile learning develops reading, listening writing and communication skills.

Interactivity and User-friendliness

1. Both Synchronous and Asynchronous by online discussion groups and e-mail.

2. Provides student to student, student to teacher, student to content and student to machine interaction. It is easy to use because learners can access anywhere and anytime.

 

Organizational Issues

1. Financial support, technical support and maintenance for both teacher and students.

2. Barriers are small screens limit the amount and type of information that can be displayed. There is limited storage capacities for mobiles and PDAs, also batteries have to be charged regularly.

3. It should solve all barriers above and enhance staff acceptance to use new communication methods and Workplace location access constraints.

 

Novelty

1. Mobile learning technology is rapidly advancing. It will constantly change equipment in an effort to keep pace with the "latest" technical advancements.

2. It allows users to have access to the resources in different formats (voice, text, picture and video). It allows the reuse of material.

 

Speed

1.It is easy to provide lecture and sample spreadsheets electronically. Also, you can use e-mail, Web sites, online discussion groups and other chat forums. Instructor can also provide content by: e-book, PDE, using Microsoft office and it easy to change.

2. You can quickly change materials using mobile device. We now have several new and exciting ways to change and update materials and information. The mobile allows you to change animation, moving pictures, and sound into lessons

  

 

In these days, the world change faster day after day. There will be time either ,we agree or not agree about using Mobile in school or during class time .As ILT , am willing to use of M- Learning and applied it with student around Sultanate of Oman.
